Ghansal, also known as the ‘King of Paddy’, is a small-grained wholesome grain. It is highly

aromatic, short and elegantly thin grained. The word ‘Ghansal’ originated from ‘Ghan’ means

‘Aroma’ or ‘Flavour’ and ‘Sal’ means ‘Elegantly Skinned’. It is Medicinal as well. It is a great rice

as First Food for babies as it is considered Saatvic or Pure and is nourishing

for the body tissues and is easy to digest.

Ajara Ghansal has a GI Tag & is grown in a Small Village called Ajara, which is surrounded by mountains on all sides. The rich black soil, which is fortified with manure every year throughout the monsoon, is responsible for the aroma of the rice.

Because of the medicinal, nutritional and aromatic properties of this rice, it is in great demand all over the world. However, the market is flooded with similar looking artificially infused aromatic rice varieties, which don't offer the same benefits of health or flavor. TBOF always maintains the purity of the grain and never uses any artificial flavors - our rice is pure original Ajara Ghansal.
