About FarmerStory - FarmerStory is an initiative, run by Shweta & Harvinder, to celebrate Farmers & their unique stories, their connect with the Soil & the efforts they put in to provide for us. Farmers are at the core of everything we need from this Earth, our Soil & our Environment. We cannot break this vital link & yet crave for everything good around us.
To make the model of Sustainable Farming to Succeed, we need to support the Farmer to Grow right & also educate the Consumer to buy right. We urge everyone to be part of this initiative & support our farmers for a better Earth, Health & Humanity.
About Sabai & Bamboo Craft - Sabai Craft gets its name from Sabai grass, which is one of the natural fibers along with Bamboo, available in plenty in the forests of Mayurbhanja district in Odisha. The tribal people call it as “Bobei Dauda or Bobei Ghasa” locally & the scientific name is ‘Eulaliopsis Binata’. Sabai grass & Bamboo are collected from the forest mainly by the rural women which are then dried and made into such beautiful baskets & other natural household items.
The artistic hands of rural artisans have given a new recognition to Sabai & Bamboo Craft and FarmerStory is proud to be associated in helping such rare skills find a new meaning & connect with the larger audience.
RAWHAA (Rural Active Women's Handicraft Artisan Association) an NGO in Balasore, Odisha actively supports these women.
We are also giving some desi indigenous variety of seeds to encourage people to grow and be Nature-Positive.
All the above products are from Two Brothers Organic Farms which is one of India's leading & model organic farms, run by Satyajit & Ajinkya, certified from Ecocert a French multinational certifying body.
