.........It all began in 2012 when the 'Two Brothers' returned to their village to take up farming full-time. With purposeful steps in pursuit of Soil-health, today the Two Brothers Organic Farms is a biodiverse, self-sustaining food system, certified by ECOCERT, located in Bhodani village, Maharashtra.

Our work is inspired by the simplicity and stillness of the village life and guided by principles of Regenerative Agriculture. While securing Rural livelihoods and employment, we harness the power of Community to offer solutions to Public Health and Climate Change.

Satyajit and Ajinkya, are proud 4th Gen farmer-siblings who practice All Natural, Regenerative farming on their 21 acre certified organic farm in Bhodani, a small village in Maharashtra. Born from indigenous seeds and raised by the tireless hands of farmer folk, all TBOF products are made in daily batches at our Farm-kitchen.

Born in Bhodani, their parents enrolled them into boarding school - the Bishop's School, Pune. From kindergarten to post-graduation the sibling-duo lived in the city largely but thoroughly enjoyed their time whenever they happened to return home to their village during holidays. They climbed the corporate ladder to work for top MNCs like Citibank, DBS, HDFC and HSBC for nearly a decade.

They co-founded the Two Brothers Organic Farms (TBOF) in 2011 after returning home to their village to take up farming full-time.

ACADEMIC BIO

Satyajit graduated in Economics from Fergusson College and then did an MBA with a specialisation in Marketing from the Department of Management Sciences, University of Pune. Ajinkya is a computer Science Graduate and then did his MBA from Indira College Pune.

Our soil is worth its weight in gold. We wish to leave it in a better shape than when we received it. We want it to breathe, to live, to sustain life. The reason for our regenerative farming practices is to maintain a healthy and enriched soil.

Workers of the soil are in the truest sense, craftsmen of health. As farmers, we constantly work at achieving health as a goal, as a way of life. The pandemic has forced many to make food choices finding alternative medicine through everyday ingredients and mixes in our kitchens. However, this trend of seeking medicinal value in foods is at the very core of the Indian philosophy that our ancestors lived by.

ORGANIC WE

The Brothers also started a community not-for-profit initiative OrganicWe in Mumbai to help spread the awareness of organic food in urban areas and handhold organic farmers in rural areas and now work with over 1000 school students and 3 mainstream schools in Mumbai and Pune to develop community led Organic farming training modules for them.
