ABOUT THE ROLE
The Quality - Technical Officer ensures the quality and safety of milk received from farmers by analyzing and filtering milk, promoting hygienic milking practices, preventing adulteration, and training farmers on quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Milk Quality Analysis:
o Analyze and filter milk at the receiving end.
o Detect contaminants and adulterants.
o Maintain and report milk quality records.
• Farmer Engagement and Hygiene Practices:
o Communicate hygienic practices to farmers.
o Provide milking best practices guidance.
o Address milking hygiene concerns.
• Adulteration Prevention:
o Implement and monitor adulteration detection procedures.
o Educate farmers on adulteration impacts.
o Ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Training and Development:
o Develop and deliver milk quality and safety training.
o Organize workshops, seminars, and on-site training.
o Evaluate and improve training effectiveness.
• Quality Improvement Initiatives:
o Collaborate on quality improvement areas.
o Participate in quality projects.
o Stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Dairy Science, Food Technology, Agriculture, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years in quality assurance within the dairy industry.
• Strong understanding of milk testing methods and quality control.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct effective training sessions.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance in the dairy industry.
Working Schedule:
• Monday to Saturday
• 9:30 am to 6:00 pm
