Who is this Roti For?

Description

India's First Certified Glyphosate-Free Protein Atta, certified by The Detox Project.

Protein Atta brings together Khapli (Emmer) wheat — one of the world's oldest cultivated grains - with the nutritional power of Bengal gram, soy, and finger millet (ragi). The result is a flour that fits seamlessly into your daily cooking while delivering significantly more protein and fiber than regular wheat atta. Khapli wheat has been grown on the Indian subcontinent for thousands of years.

Unlike modern hybrid wheat, it is naturally hardy, lower on the glycaemic index, and richer in micronutrients. We slow-mill our atta to preserve the integrity of every grain — its natural taste, texture, and nourishment — because we believe good food shouldn't need anything added or taken away.

Just make your rotis the way you always have. The nutrition takes care of itself.
It is best before 9 months from the date of packaging.

Ingredients

Emmer Wheat Grain, Soy Flour, Bengal gram, Soy Protein Isolate, Finger Millet.

Usage Info
  • Roti - Mix atta with warm water and a pinch of salt, rest 15 minutes, roll and cook on a tawa. Finish with ghee.
  • Cheela - Whisk into a thin batter with water and salt, rest 10 minutes, pour onto a hot oiled pan and cook 2–3 minutes per side. Add onion, chilli, or coriander to taste.
  • Pancakes - Combine with milk, curd, sugar, baking powder, and oil. Rest 5 minutes and cook on medium heat until done.
Benefits
  • India's Only Glyphosate-Free Protein Atta, certified by The Detox Project - independently tested and verified to be free from glyphosate, one of the most widely used herbicides in farming.
  • 11g protein per serve (2 rotis) - nearly 2× the protein of regular wheat flour.
  • 6g dietary fiber per serve - supports digestion, gut health, and keeps you fuller for longer.
  • Low GI - helps maintain steady blood sugar and sustained energy through the day.
  • Ancient grain advantage - Khapli (Emmer) wheat is naturally more nutritious than modern hybrid wheat varieties.
  • Slow-milled - retains natural taste, texture, and nutrients without over-processing.
  • Fits your existing routine - no recipe changes needed; use exactly like your regular atta.
  • No artificial additives, preservatives, or fillers of any kind.
Storage Info

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, keep in an airtight container. The pack contains an O₂ absorber sachet - not for consumption.

FAQ

Have questions? We've got answers

Regular wheat flour contains around 10–11g of protein per 100g, but only about 5g per 2 rotis at a typical serving size. Our atta blends Khapli wheat with Bengal gram, soy flour, and soy protein isolate - complementary protein sources that together significantly raise the protein content per serve to 11g, without compromising on taste or texture.

Not at all. Use it exactly as you would your regular atta - same water ratio, same tawa, same process. No special technique or equipment is needed.

Khapli wheat has a slightly nuttier, earthier flavour compared to refined wheat flour, which many people find more satisfying. The rotis hold their texture well and taste wholesome without being heavy.

Yes. It works well for cheelas, pancakes, bread, and even croissants (blended with bread flour for structure). It is versatile enough for both everyday Indian cooking and experimental baking.

Yes, it is suitable for vegetarians.

Yes. This atta contains Emmer wheat and is not suitable for those with gluten intolerance or coeliac disease. It is also not gluten-free for those managing wheat sensitivity.

Yes. It contains Soy (soya flour and soy protein isolate) and Gluten (Emmer wheat). Please check the label carefully if you have known allergies to either.

Khapli wheat is naturally low GI, which means it releases glucose more slowly into the bloodstream compared to regular wheat. However, individual responses to food can vary, and we recommend consulting your doctor or nutritionist if you are managing a specific health condition.
