1 Prepare the mixture
1. In a bowl, mix khapli flour with melted jaggery, grated coconut, dry fruits, and a pinch of salt. The mixture should be semi-dry but hold together if pressed. Add a little warm water if needed.

2 Prepare the banana leaves
2. Cut banana leaves into rectangular pieces, pass them over a flame for a few seconds to soften, and grease lightly with ghee.

3 Shape and wrap
3. Place a portion of the mixture in the center of each leaf, fold into a triangle or a roll, and seal by tying with thread or folding the ends tightly.

4 Steam
4. Place the wrapped pithas in a steamer or idli cooker and steam for 20–25 minutes until firm.

5 Serve warm
5. Let it cool slightly, then unwrap and enjoy the aroma and texture — best served with tea.
