About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Jaggery Sourcing Executive to manage end-to-end procurement of jaggery directly from farmer clusters and processors. The role focuses on ensuring quality, traceability, cost efficiency, and uninterrupted supply aligned with seasonal procurement cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Source jaggery directly from farmer clusters, FPOs, and processors ensuring quality, traceability, and competitive pricing.
- Plan and execute seasonal procurement strategy (November–March) with advance contracting and buffer stock planning to mitigate price fluctuations and supply risks.
- Ensure sourcing of chemical-free / non-sulphurated jaggery as per defined quality specifications and compliance norms.
- Develop and onboard new vendors while maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers.
- Lead commercial negotiations to secure reliable and cost-effective supply agreements.
- Monitor market trends, seasonality patterns, and pricing dynamics of jaggery and sugarcane products.
- Coordinate closely with QA, Production, and Logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted supply and minimal quality rejections.
- Conduct supplier audits and field visits to ensure adherence to quality standards and ethical sourcing practices.
- Maintain proper documentation related to traceability, compliance, and vendor performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Food Technology, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 3–8 years of hands-on experience in sourcing/procurement of jaggery, sugarcane products, or agri-commodities.
- Strong understanding of rural supply chains, farmer engagement models, and seasonal procurement cycles.
- Good negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively in sourcing regions.
