Naturally grown raw flax seeds are a rich source of Omega-3 fatty acids and fibre. They can be lightly toasted on a low flame and added directly to breakfast cereal mixes, or ground to a powder and added to curries, stir fry dishes or sweet preparations as a topping. Flax seeds can be soaked with raw rice and lentils to make nutritious idli/ dosa/ pancake batter.
